Parc del Laberint d’Horta
Originalmente es Parque del Laberint es una finca privada construida a finales del siglo XVIII – XIX, con tintes neoclásicos y del romanticismo, que fue decido por la Familia Desvalls al ayuntamiento de Barcelona en 1967 y abierto al público en 1971. No está permitido hacer picnic, pero es un buen sitio para hacer fotos.
It was originally called “Parque del Laberint”, and it was a private house in the country built at the end of the XVIII-XIX century with Neoclassic and Romanticism touches, which was left from the Desvalls family to the Barcelona city hall in 1967 and opened to the public in 1971. It’s not allowed to have a picnic in it, but it’s a great place to take photos.

Parc de la Ciutadella
Construido en la antigua ciudadela militar, que se constituyo como parque en la Exoposición Universal de 1888. Su entrada es gratuita, y cuenta con muchas zonas de césped.
It was built in the old military citadel as a park for the Universal Exhibition of 1888. The entrance is free and it has a lot of grass areas.

Jardins Palau de Pedralbes
El palacio, originalmente propiedad de la Familia Güell, con 7 ha, fue ampliado a 30ha, para ser entregado a Alfonso XII, en 1926. En 1931, tras la proclamación de la II República, el Ministerio de Hacienda lo donó al Ayuntamiento.
‘Palau de Pedralves’ Gardens: The palace, originally from the Güell family, had 7 hectares, and it was extended to 30 hectares to be given to the king Alphonso XII in 1926. In 1926, when the II Republic was proclaimed, the Fortune Ministry donated it to the city hall.

Montjuic Cemetery
El cementerio de Monjuich es fruto de la congestión de la ciudad de Barcelona, en el siglo XIX. Los cementerios de los nucleos urbanos adyacentes a la ciudad, quedaron pequeños, y se hizo este, en la falda de la montaña de Monjuich, que novuevamente ha quedado pequeño. Tiene obras en su interior, de gran interés arquitectónico y artístico (mausoleos y esculturas) inspirado en el gótico flamígero, el romanticismo o el clasicismo.

In the 19th Century, the growth of Barcelona resulted in a new cemetery, built on the Monjuich mountain. There are lots of artistic and architectural works inside, like mausoleums and sculptures, inspired by Gothic, Romantic and Neo-Classical styles.
